چکیده

Gastric cancer is one of the leading causes death worldwide. Hispanic/Latino patients, have previously demonstrated to clinicopathological features related a worse prognosis, including high prevalence metastatic disease, young age, more proportion diffuse type cancers and higher rate mortality. Nevertheless, analysis overall survival comparing number metastases among advanced gastric adenocarcinoma remains unclear. The aim this study analyze our population evaluate impact in OS patients with treated at National Cancer Institute. present included diagnosed adenocarcinoma, Institute between 2010 2021. Statistical required: X2 t test, Kaplan Meier, Log Rank Cox Regression. significance differences were assessed when p was bilaterally < 0.05. 1,319 disease. Regarding advanced/metastatic 52% male, an 18% (n=) reported, 60% (n=378) diffuse-type carcinomas. Besides, 75% (n=469) reported signed-ring cells poor differentiation 88% (n=556) 28% (n=376) intestinal type. According sites, (n= 987) only site metastasis, while resting 25% 332) two or sites by time diagnosis. A conducted considering sites; single-metastasis median 11 months versus 8 for (p=0.027, HR 0.78, 95% CI 0.65-0.94). At Multivariate analysis, grade (p=0.002, 1.29, 1.10-1.53), (p=0.029, 0.730 0.55-0.96), metastasis (p=0.023, 0.80, 0.66-0.97) remained as predictors survival. disease high, increasing association bad prognosis. However, single significantly different compared multiple metastasis. multidisciplinary team approaches fundamental assess best treatment option these patients.

Identification of Factors Affecting Metastatic Gastric Cancer Patients’ Survival Using the Random Survival Forest and Comparison with Cox Regression Model

Background and Objectives: In survival analysis, using the Cox model to determine the effective factors requires the assumptions whose failure of leads to biased results. The aim of this paper was to determine the factors affecting the survival of metastatic gastric cancer patients using the non-parametric method of Randomized Survival Forest (RSF) model and to compare its result with the Cox m...

A predictive model of overall survival in patients with metastatic

Metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) is one of the most common cancers with a poor prognosis. To improve prognostic models of mCRPC, the Dialogue for Reverse Engineering Assessments and Methods (DREAM) Consortium organized a crowdsourced competition known as the Prostate Cancer DREAM Challenge. In the competition, data from four phase III clinical trials were utilized. A tota...

Role of Metastasectomy on Overall Survival of Patients with Metastatic Gastric Cancer

PURPOSE The role of metastasectomy has been debatable and unclear in the treatment for patients with metastatic gastric cancer. Therefore, this study was designed to evaluate the role of metastasectomy on the overall survival of these patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS In 2,406 patients who underwent gastrectomy for gastric cancer between 1998 and 2010, 188 (7.8%) patients had their first surger...

Prognostic model to predict survival following first-line chemotherapy in patients with metastatic gastric adenocarcinoma.

BACKGROUND This study was to devise a prognostic model for metastatic gastric cancer patients undergoing first-line chemotherapy. PATIENTS AND METHODS A retrospective analysis was carried out on 1455 gastric cancer patients, who received first-line chemotherapy from September 1994 to February 2005. RESULTS At multivariate level, poor prognostic factors were no previous gastrectomy [P = 0.00...

Gastric Adenocarcinoma with Prostatic Metastasis

Metastasis of gastric adenocarcinoma to the prostate gland is extremely rare. Herein, we report a case of gastric adenocarcinoma in a 56-year-old man with prostatic metastasis diagnosed through the analysis of biopsy specimens from representative lesions in the stomach and prostate gland. Immunohistochemistry of the prostatic tissue showed positive staining for cytokeratin 7 and negative staini...
